Ahmed Noorani the young journalist for writing his story concerning illegal allotment of plots in Islamabad to some journalists contacted the senior columnist Nazir Naji enquiring about a plot allotted to him. Nazir Naji lost his temper and as per three audio tapes started shouting those naked Punjabi abuses "maan kee, bahan kee” which only lowest level goons use in the streets visit to listen tapes at http://pkpolitics.com/2009/04/19/nazir-naji-abusing-journalist/. Be careful do not listen these tapes in presence of your family. Naji’s whole defence as per tapes was that he had served the country for 50 years hence Ahmed Noorani having merely 6 years experience of journalism has no right to ask such a question TO A 50 years experienced. People are showing their surprise on this dirtiest language used by Naji whereas it is not any surprise to me at all as life has shown well that most of our popular writers are morally bankrupt. Of course such a dirty mean low level language was a bit surprise but not the mentality of Nazir Naji. Most of our famous writers and columnists the fact is have used their pen as uses an engineer or an accountant. The lifafa journalism started when Altaf Hussain Qureshi in early sixties invented a new style. In his articles to get himself labeled as an outspoken freedom fighter he slightly criticized the rulers but at the same time to balance and preferably to get himself in good books simultaneously in the same article twice included that the concerned rule/minister personally was a “Darwaish”, from a “notable family” etc. Thus he started earning with both hands; with one popularity amongst readers and from the other hand sealed envelopes. Later this useful technique became popular. Nazir Naji, Mujibur Rehman Shami, Aszhar Suhail, Riaz Shahid, Javed Choudhry all are from the same tribe. See e.g Jawed Choudhry. His columns always carry huge figures, references about poverty, it looks as if he too is suffering with the poor man but if one reads cover ups of his annual foreign tours in high mountains, museum places world over one wonders from where so huge wealth came. Riaz Shahid famous "where there is Zulam, our team there" has used a novel technique. He will publish with photo a scandal after following one or two days when black-mailing money has come, he will immediately close the case to start a new one for a new income. He came to light mostly after 09 March 2007 when Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhary was sent home. Due to his style, truth of the word, natural effects of his words since being true attracted every reader more particularly the TV viewers. He earned the real respect of the viewers compared to those like Farooq Naik or Babar Awan who changed their earlier stance and principles immediately on coming into power. Ansar Abbasi’s went deep into hearts of the common man when he disclosed Hameed Dogar’s daughter case. To me Mr. Irshad Ahmed Haqqani is the most senior and most respected columnist in Pakistan. One can differ with his thoughts on politics but his sincerity for the country and his wisdom can not be talked about. Three months back in his column Irshad Haqqani personally “prayed” for Ansar Abbasi. What else can be a certificate about Ansar. This has made Nazir Naji and others alike him jealousy of Ansar Abbasi. Taping the conversation by Ahmed Noorani in no case is illegal. This conversation took place between Ahmed Noorani and Nazir Naji and if any one of those recorded it, it is not illegal. The illegal recording is if a third party records it like any other person or agency without permission of any a Court. Nazir Naji is not a fool. He is clever. He knew well that even today’s ordinary phones have inbuilt recording capability and that is why during the conversation using the word “Behaan kee” he yelled at Ahmad Noori “record my conversation”. While like majority whose comments at different web sites I saw on this story have appreciated Ahmed Noorani, I too appreciate him. But I can not give Ahmed Noorani that much credit and can not start declaring him most bold, unseen before etc. because so far conduct of Ahmed Noorani does not deserve much applauses. Of course he showed courage but so far it appears he did it just for popularity and not for the real cause of journalism. Had it been real in the interest of real journalism he must have by now during these two week also disclosed what happened later. Like, which other senior lifafa journalists approached him not to follow the matter any more, how many and who tries to threat subsequently, how many attempts were made to silence him on this topic later, how many senior came to support him in this cause etc. He is totally silent till today 25.4.2009. Ansar Abbasi after revealing Farah Dogar case did not remain silent. He kept on disclosing who approached him for what, who called him for what etc.

Shami had also been the solicitor for the Lahore Development Authority which is very famous for frauds with real owners. I have not in my whole life seen any "Shami' who one way or the other has not earned money through some extra legal ways. The most famous Shami is Mujeebur Rehman Shami the owner of newspaper Daily Pakistan link to which is available on web directories but page has never ever even once opened. The big Mujeebur Rehman Shami is very famous in raising his voice for Islam. He is considered as Islamist but as usual when it comes to earning money his ways are the same which are restricted to slogan raising Islamists and Najis. His brother who had been in P.I.D.C had too big stories attached to him. It is wrongly thought that the M.Q.M introduced bhattaism in Karachi. The actual bhattasim on a professional way was introduced by brother of Mujeebur Rehman Shami. I was working with the Gulf Air then in Bahrain. It is story about 10 years back. The Pakistani Ambassador in his house big gathering introduced one Pakistani Tahir Mohd Akhter having a large beard. The Ambassador told that Daily Pakistan has opened its office in Bahrain and like Jang London, The Pakistan Lahore will also be published in Bahrain. It was a very big news for Pakistanis. Like in other Gulf countries in Bahrain the Indians had control over local English newspapers. The Ambassador asked Pakistanis to support the Pakistani newspaper in getting it established here. The subscription forms were distributed. I also signed for one year membership and paid one year advance. Hundreds of people in national emotions signed these membership forms in Clubs, in hotels, in Pakistani schools, Pakistani shops.Tahir Mohd Akhter was shown on the visiting Card as Editor of Bahrain published The Pakistan and monograms of Daily Pakistan, Quami Digest and Weekly Zindgi Lahore were also on the visiting card (see picture) as well as on the membership form. The Editor opened the Office. Many people paid money for helping the office in purchasing furniture, photo copy machines, computers. More and more people continued paying the membership but paper did not come in the market. Lastly the Pakistani Ambassador told that there was some problem with the local press of a Bahraini newspaper where Daily Pakistan was to be printed which was now solved due to Ambassador's involvement. The same thing the Pakistani Club Chairman always stated. The paper again did not come in the market. When people started visiting the office, the Editor instantly gave them a print out from the computer of the current day The Daily Pakistan of Bahrain showing Chief Editor as Mujeebur Rehman Shami and editor as Tahir Mohamed Akhter (see picture). Almost ten months passed. People started writing and phoning Mujeebur Reman Shami in Pakistan who always said that there was technical problem and paper will soon be in the market. One day Tahir MNohd ran away to Madeena without paying any furniture bills, rents for the office, salaries for the staff. People contacted Mujeebur Rehman Shami who did not give any satisfactory answer. It is now 10 years Mujeebur Rehman Shami has not returned the money. It was heard that one Pakistani complained to the Ministry of Information in Pakistan where Mujeebur Rehman Shami told them that he informed the Pakistan Embassy that he had no plan to publish Daily Pakistan from Bahrain and Tahir Mohd was not his man. The Pakistani Embassy however did not convey this to Pakistani people because it had earlier introduced Mohamed Tahir. Tahir Mohd is still living in Madeena. Those who go for Umrah often see him there. He always says the whole money was transferred to Mujeebur Rehman Shami on his instruction for arranging equipment. Tahir Mohd always says he acted what his chief editor told him. The circumstances clearly show that Mujeebur Rehman Shami was involved in it because when people started approaching him that why paper was not coming out he should had immediately in the newspapers put a big public notice warning people that Tahir Mohd was not his representative. It is a general practice if someone without authority presents himself as representative of a product or a bogus number two product comes in the market, immediately the public is warned through newspaper public notices. Mujeebur Rehman Shami did not do this but only what he did was he wrote to the Pakistan Embassy. On the other hand Pakistan Embassy refuses that it never received such information form Mujeebur Rehman Shami otherwise it would had taken timely action.
